Hometown Installations

Wen-ti Tsen is a local artist who often engages with communities around Boston by displaying his work publicly. His project 'Hometown' was a nine day installation in Chinatown. Wen-ti created painted renderings of historically relevant figures and commissioned Jaywalk to design and build robust footings for his work. The figures were painted on plywood, so anchoring them in an outdoor public space presented specific challenges. Our solution are bent aluminum housings that enclose up to 3 cinder blocks and feature multiple attachment points for any planar material.
